34th Alumni TEFL Conference - July 1-3, 2009

An annual event for the development of professionals in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), this conference is a forum for teachers of English from all over Brazil. It includes lectures, workshops, special interest meetings and exhibits of educational materials.

This year’s convention will take place on July 1-3. Speakers confirmed so far: Lucy Chriton (Macmillan do Brasil), Ray Shoulder (Richmond Publishing), Roberto Costa (Cambridge), Claudio Piccolo (PUC), Margaret Pederson (US State Dept), Marcia Pedrosa (IBEU-Rio), Rafael Reis (Cengage) Carlos Gontow, Celso Frade, Luiz Otavio Barros and Rick Nishioka (Alumni), Marcelle Doria, Sergei Nesterenko and Thomas Topham, among others.

Registration Fees for the two and a half-day program:
Early registration – from June 1 to June 19:
R$ 170,00 (one hundred and seventy reais)
Late registration - from June 22 to July 1:
R$ 200,00 (two hundred reais)
Special fees for college students (Letras and Pedagogia): R$ 85,00 and R$ 100,00 for early and late registration, respectively.
Special fees for Braz-Tesol members: R$ 120,00 and R$ 150,00 for early and late registration, respectively.
